It deals with both private and public law issues and is sometimes seen as a branch of civil law. The rules and regulations that control relations between countries are referred to as international law. For a variety of reasons, these are essential for enterprises. First, neither a single international court nor a single authoritative legislative source for matters of international commerce exists.
